Design D

Our concept is designed around the core values of Faith, Family, and Freedom represented by the central pillars. Supported by the outer buttresses are the principles of Innovation, Strength, and Vision. The buttresses are constructed from metal panels and rivets, emulating aircraft construction and paying homage to Barksdale Air Force Base. The ribbon represents the citizens, who are the fabric of our community.

The final rendering incorporates these elements into a single structure, working together and supported by each other, reflecting the dynamic nature of Bossier. We utilized a night image to show how lighting can be utilized and manipulated for different holidays or events.

Three central pillars represent the core values of Faith, Family, and Freedom. Bossier is a community of deep Faith which strengthens families and empowers the community. Our freedom is realized through opportunities that are guaranteed by our nation’s protectors and the law enforcement agencies.

Three outer buttresses represent Innovation, Strength, and Vision. Bossier is the home of the National Cyber Research Park (NCRP) and is located along the LA Optical Network Initiative (LONI) cyber highway. The vision was brought to reality by the combined strengths of the City and Collaborative Environment between the Cyber Innovation Center and Air Force Global Strike Command which facilitates Innovation by strengthening the relationships between government, academia, and industry.

Finally, the ribbon represents the citizens who are the fabric of our community. The ribbon symbolizes movement and growth when supported by the core values of Faith, Family and Freedom. By working together, Bossier City and Bossier Parish provide its citizens and visitors with a unique place to live and visit.
